An aluminum nitride (AlN) piezoelectric nanoplate suspended by two anchor beams is driven by two interdigitated electrodes (IDEs) so that it resonates; IR radiation received by the device changes the resonance frequency, providing a measurement of the IR flux received by the nanoplate.
